Hisor (Tajikistan), Sept. 5 -- India booked their place in the third-place playoff of the CAFA Nations Cup 2025 after playing out a goalless stalemate against Afghanistan in their last Group B encounter at the Hisor Central Stadium here today.
The Blue Tigers' fate, however, was not sealed immediately after the final whistle. They had to wait until later in the evening for the result of the other group clash between IR Iran and Tajikistan. That match ended 2-2, confirming India's passage as group runners-up.
