Nagpur, Nov. 16 -- In a big shocker to the Congress in Nagpur Rural ahead of local body elections in Maharashtra, the oarty's State secretary Raja Tidke today joined the BJP in the presence of senior BJP leader and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
A few hours before the list of BJP's candidates for the Nagar Panchayat President posts was to be announced, Congress's Mauda taluka leader and state secretary Raja Tidke formally entered the BJP in a programme held in the presence of BJP leader and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
For Congress, this is being viewed as a major setback.
Raja, also known as Prasanna Tidke, is a close associate of senior Congress leader Ranjit Deshmukh and is from the Babu Rao Tidke family.
