Malappuram, Nov. 25 -- District Collector VR Vinod on Tuesday removed a Booth Level Officer (BLO) from duty after he was accused of publicly exposing nudity himself by opening his mundu (dhoti) in front of the people, including women.
The incident reportedly occurred during a dispute over the verification of enumeration forms related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) at Thavanoor. Visual footage of Vasudevan, an employee of the Ponnani Block office, opening his mundu in the presence of the public was aired by visual media on Tuesday.
Following the broadcast, he was relieved of his responsibilities as the BLO for Ward 38 of Anappady West LP School in the Thavanoor Assembly constituency near Tirur in the district.
