Nalagarh, Jan. 3 -- Panic gripped Nalagarh town and adjoining villages in Himachal Pradesh after a powerful explosion occurred within the premises of a police station.
The blast took place at around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday behind the Nalagarh police station store room, near the investigation officers' room.
The explosion shattered the window panes of the store room and caused damage to nearby structures, including the IO room of the police station, an army canteen, the Market Committee building, and several adjoining houses. Windows of a nearby private building were also damaged.
No casualties were reported.
