Sangli, Aug. 2 -- The BJP workers sloganeered against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government as the convoy of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray passed from here on Monday.
The BJP took police permission to gather at the Harbhat Road so as to hand over a memorandum, related to flood relief demands, to Mr Thackeray who came here to survey flood-hit places.
However, the CM's entourage drove past them hence annoying these gatherers who were anxiously awaiting for the Shiv Sena chief.
They started jeering the tripartite dispensation while seeking immediate relief package for monsoon-hit people. Subsequently, they were dispersed by the police.
Later, a representative from the government expected the memorandum.
