Ayodhya, Feb. 8 -- In a setback to Samajwadi Party (SP), ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Milkipur assembly reserved seat in Uttar Pradesh where its candidate won by a margin of more than 61,000 votes in the bypoll, the result of which was announced on Saturday.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the BJP on its victory in the Milkipur assembly by-election. He called it a symbol of the unwavering faith of the common man in the state government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Yogi also congratulated BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan.
According to official figures, while BJP's Chandrabhanu Paswan secured around 1,45,893 votes his close rival Ajit Prasad of SP got 84,254 votes. Ajit P...
