Samastipur, April 30 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs and senior BJP leader Nityanand Rai has expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government in West Bengal with a decisive majority.

Rai told news persons here on Thursday that the people of West Bengal have shown strong faith in the leadership and work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, indicating a clear mandate in favour of the BJP.

He asserted that voters in the state have extended overwhelming support to the party in the interest of both the nation and West Bengal. Rai also criticized the current state government, alleging that its policies of appeasement have hindered development.
