Kolkata, Nov. 25 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Centre's ruling coalition spearhead BJP, predicting the saffron party's downfall in its "stronghold" Gujarat in 2027 and in the subsequent Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a packed gathering at Bongaon of North 24 Parganas district, she warned that the BJP's aggression in Bengal would ultimately trigger its downfall in the 2029 general elections.

"They are trying to capture Bengal, but they will lose Gujarat and they will lose the country. 2029 will be very dangerous for the BJP. They will lose power.
