Hyderabad, Dec. 1 -- The Telangana BJP has urged Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to immediately withhold implementation of Government Order (GO) 27, alleging that it enables transfer of 9,292.53 acres of prime industrial land in and around Hyderabad to private interests under the guise of policy reform.

In a memorandum submitted to the Governor on Monday, BJP leaders said the Industries and Commerce Department issued GO 27 introducing the Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation Policy (HILTP), which permits conversion of industrial-zoned land into multi-purpose use. The land parcels are spread across 22 locations around the Outer Ring Road radius.
