Bengaluru, Dec. 28 -- Congress Foundation Day celebrations turned into a strong defence of Mahatma Gandhi's legacy, with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accusing the BJP of systematically undermining Gandhian legacy.
His remarks came in the backdrop of the recent G-Ram G controversy, which has triggered a wider debate over attempts to relativise or diminish Gandhian values.
"Today, there is a deliberate attempt to weaken and distort Mahatma Gandhi's legacy for political convenience," he said.
