Shimla, April 22 -- BJP state president Rajeev Bindal, on Wednesday, launched a scathing attack on the Indian National Congress, accusing it of betraying women by allegedly derailing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.
Addressing a press conference here, Bindal claimed that the developments in Parliament had exposed what he termed as the "anti-women mindset" of Congress. He said the special session convened under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was aimed at enhancing women's participation in governance, but the opposition failed to support the initiative.
He alleged that Congress had delayed women's reservation for decades and opposed it when the opportunity for implementation arose.
