BJP terms Rahul's 'atom bomb' claim on voters list baseless
Bengaluru, Aug. 8 -- The BJP today dismissed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent claims regarding alleged irregularities in the Bengaluru Central electoral roll as "a display of ignorance" and a "deliberate misrepresentation of facts" in the aftermath of electoral defeat.
Reacting to Gandhi's statement, BJP leaders questioned whether this was the "atom bomb" evidence he had promised, alleging that his remarks only reflected a misunderstanding of the process of preparing voter lists.
They pointed out that the Bengaluru Central parliamentary constituency has been a BJP stronghold since its creation after the 2009 delimitation, with voters repeatedly opting for "development, stability and leadership over divisive politics or entitlement."
