Hyderabad, Dec. 6 -- On the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's death anniversary, BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao paid floral tributes to Ambedkar's portrait at the party's state office on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramchandra Rao said Ambedkar's Constitution granted every Indian equality, justice and fundamental rights, but alleged that the Congress repeatedly violated these values during its long tenure in power.
He said the Congress, which ruled the country for nearly six decades, attempted several times to alter the very Constitution Ambedkar drafted and even imposed the Emergency, curbing basic freedoms.
