Bengaluru, Dec. 6 -- Karnataka BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Saturday launched a fresh salvo at Congress leadership, alleging that the Gandhi family had "misused a public trust" in the National Herald case and calling it an "open-and-shut matter."Speaking to reporters here, Vijayendra said the issue went beyond political debate, alleging that it involved the diversion of assets that were originally meant for public benefit. "The public trust was misused by the Gandhi family. It is an open-and-shut case. The property that was under the trust was taken over, money was siphoned off, and those funds were then invested in other private properties. All this is already in the public domain," he said.
