Mumbai, Jan. 16 -- As the counting of votes for 29 municipal corporations across Maharashtra progresses, early trends are beginning to emerge from several key cities. According to the trends available so far, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance is leading in a number of major municipal corporations.
In the high-profile Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde faction)Mahayuti alliance has taken an early lead. However, the alliance of the Thackeray brothers has started narrowing the gap after initially trailing by a wide margin.
