Ranchi, April 1 -- A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the director general of police (DGP), Jharkhand, seeking action over recent incidents linked to religious processions and law and order in the state.
The delegation included state vice presidents Rakesh Prasad, Balamukund Sahay and Neelkanth Singh Munda, chief whip Naveen Jaiswal and senior party leader Seema Sharma.
In the memorandum, the BJP alleged that incidents of stone-pelting, obstruction of religious processions, desecration of places of worship and cattle smuggling had increased in different parts of the state, and demanded strict action against those involved.
