Aizawl, Sept. 8 -- The BJP unit of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) stageda massive protest rally in Kamalanagar, Chawngte town of Mizoram's Lawngtlai district today, highlighting growing discontent over rising electricity tariffs and neglected road conditions.
Hundreds of residents and party workers joined the demonstration, accusing the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM)-led state government of ignoring basic civic needs.
In a press note, the BJP CADC IT/Media Cell said the rally reflected the people's frustration with spiralling costs of essential services.
