Dharwad, Oct. 10 -- BJP leader Arvind Bellad today accused Karnataka Minister Zameer Ahmad of following a "West Bengal model" in police recruitment, alleging attempts to increase representation of one particular community in the forces.
"Mr Zameer Ahmad is trying to follow the West Bengal model. The government has no business in trying to ensure only one particular community, one particular religion people enter the forces. That is very, very, very detrimental to the administration. The way forces have to behave themselves, who is competent, who is eligible, will enter the force and take care of the state and the law and order situation," Bellad told reporters.
