BJP slams RJD of undermining PM's efforts to uplift backward classes, accuses Tejashwi of pushing 'Sharia agenda'

New Delhi, July 1 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia today accused Bihar's former Deputy CM and Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav of "undermining" Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to uplift backward classes, Dalits, and women and said that Rashtriya Janata Dal's sole objective is the "imposition of Sharia law in India, and to empower only one community."

"Tejashwi Yadav's party, RJD, is destroying the idea of empowering these marginalized sections. While they talk about Sharia, the BJP will continue to talk about the Constitution," he said during a press conference at BJP headquarters in Delhi.
