Hyderabad, April 22 -- The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came down heavily on the Congress-led state government on Tuesday, branding it as a "Jumla government" that thrives on announcements without action.

At a press conference held in Hyderabad, BJP State Spokesperson and Media In-charge N V Subash accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of running a government rooted in deception and propaganda.

"Is this 'Telangana Rising' the new brand image, or is it actually Telangana sinking under the Revanth Reddy brand of governance?" questioned Subash, sharply criticising the state's Rs 28 crore spending spree on publicity campaigns for schemes that, he alleged, have not materialised on the ground.
