New Delhi, July 17 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today described as "highly objectionable" Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks suggesting that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma should be sent to jail.
Addressing a press conference here, BJP national spokesperson Dr. Syed Zafar Islam accused Gandhi of attempting to create unrest in Assam and said it was ironic that "a family out on bail in corruption cases is making statements about sending a sitting Chief Minister to jail."
He also said that Gandhi's remarks reflected poorly on his political maturity and public credibility.
