Bengaluru, July 25 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa today lashed out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for allegedly ordering the dismissal of the Kantharaju Commission Report, which had examined the socio-economic status of backward classes in Karnataka.
Vijayendra claimed that public funds worth Rs 165 crore were spent on the report only for it to be "thrown into the dustbin" under Congress leadership.
"This is not just administrative negligence; it is betrayal. Rahul Gandhi ordered the report to be discarded. The hard-earned tax money of the people of Karnataka was wasted, and the hopes of lakhs of backward class families were dashed," he charged.
