Srinagar, Sept. 20 -- Amid an escalating political row over an affidavit submitted by banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik, a senior J&K BJP leader Altaf Thakur today launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for treating terrorists as victimsand even emissaries of peace.

Malik's affidavit submitted to the Delhi High Court has named former Prime Ministers, top intelligence officers, businessmen and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders amongthose he engaged through the backchannels.

State spokesman of the BJP Altaf Thakur blamed Malik for the deaths of Pandits and fourAir Force officers.
