Bengaluru, Nov. 13 -- The controversy surrounding Bengaluru's ambitious tunnel road project deepened on Thursday as BJP MP PC Mohan launched a blistering attack on the Congress-led Karnataka government, alleging that the proposal is an "unscientific, wasteful, and corrupt venture designed to loot public money under the guise of urban development."Addressing a press conference, Mohan said it was ironic that the state government, which claims to lack funds to repair Bengaluru's pothole-ridden roads, is "recklessly rushing ahead" to construct two underground tunnel roads costing thousands of crores. "This is not infrastructure development. This is extravagance masquerading as progress," he said.
