Ranchi, Dec. 22 -- The BJP on Monday demanded action against Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, alleging violations of constitutional provisions and service rules.
Addressing a press interaction, BJP spokesperson Rafia Naz accused the minister of making statements on jobs and postings that, she claimed, had no legal basis and amounted to misuse of office.
She said ministers have no authority to directly provide employment or influence appointments.
Naz alleged that such actions attract provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Sections 13(1)(a) and 13(2), which deal with abuse of official position. She sought appropriate legal action under the law.
