Kolkata, April 20 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday demanded the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her alleged failure to protect the people during the anti-Waqf (Amendment) Act protests in Murshidabad district.
BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya, in a post on X, charged Banerjee with misleading the people.
The CM on Saturday, in a letter, alleged that the violence in Murshidabad district was orchestrated by the BJP and RSS, adopting "divisive" politics between the two communities.
