Hazaribag, March 27 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said it would call a Hazaribag bandh on Monday if police fail to arrest those responsible for the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Vishnugarh by Sunday.
Addressing a press conference here after meeting the victim's family, Hazaribag MP Manish Jaiswal said the party would intensify its agitation if the accused were not identified and arrested within the deadline.
He alleged that the state government and ruling alliance leaders had remained silent over the incident and demanded immediate action against those involved.
