Bengaluru, Feb. 27 -- The BJP on Tuesday night claimed that supporters of Congress candidate Nazir Hussain shouted 'Pakistan zindabad' slogans after his victory in Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka and wanted police action against them as per the law.

Hussain is one of the three Congress candidates who won the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka during the day.

BJP MLC Ravikumar and party chief whip in state Assembly Doddanna Gowda Patil alleged that Hussain's supporters shouted 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans at Vidhan Soudha after the returning officer declared Hussain's victory in the Rajya Sabha polls.

They alleged that it was done at the instigation of Hussain.
