Dehradun, June 30 -- Uttarakhand BJP president Mahendra Bhatt is set to be re-elected for another term as the party began its much awaited electioneering process today.
Bhatt was the only candidate to file nomination within the stipulated period allocated by election officials.
Bhatt, also a Rajya Sabha member, will be the first sitting state chief to repeat his term in 25 years of BJP's organisational history in Uttarakhand. His election is now a mere formality as no other party leader filed his nomination papers for contesting presidential election in the allotted time from 10 AM to 12 noon.
