Dharamshala, Aug. 2 -- National BJP Working Committee member and MLA from Kangra, Pawan Kajal, strongly condemned the Himachal Pradesh government's decision to reintroduce the lottery system in the state, calling it a "dangerous and regressive move that threatens the future of youth and families alike".
Kajal recalled that it was the BJP government in 1998 which had banned the lottery system in the state after witnessing its devastating impact on many households. "The Dhumal government acted on public demand, especially from women, to shut down this exploitative system. Its removal had brought positive results," he said.
