Kolkata, Jan. 7 -- The announcement of the Bharatiya Janata Party's new West Bengal state committee has made it clear which senior leaders are likely to contest the upcoming Assembly elections and who will focus solely on organisational responsibilities.

Three leaders who are certain to be in the electoral fray have been removed from the post of general secretary and made vice-presidents.

Those who have been retained or newly appointed as general secretaries are leaders who are unlikely to contest the next election.
