Bhubaneswar, May 5 -- union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has described the Bharatiya Janata Party's victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections as a historic mandate by the people against the alleged injustice, oppression, and arrogance of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government led by Mamata Banerjee.
Pradhan said the verdict reflected the aspirations of the people of Bengal, who, according to him, had chosen BJP's governance model over what he termed years of misrule by the ruling dispensation.
