Itanagar, Dec. 20 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has retained control of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC), winning an overwhelming majority of wards in the civic body elections, while new entrant Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) [LJP (RV)] opened its accountwith two seats.
As per the official results, BJP candidates secured 14 of the 20 wards, including four uncontested victories, reaffirming the party's strong grip over the state capital's civic administration.
LJP (RV) secured two wards, marking a notable debut, while the Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) won three seats and one seat went to an Independent candidate.
