Nagpur, Jan. 7 -- Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) president Prakash Ambedkar, grandson of Dr B R Ambedkar, on Wednesday alleged that the BJP is employing coercion and intimidation to prevent other political parties from coming together ahead of the upcoming civic elections in Maharashtra.
Addressing a press conference in Nagpur on Wednesday, Ambedkar said that although several parties are allied at the state level, they have been unable to replicate these alliances for the January 15 municipal corporation polls.
He claimed that while the BJP has entered into selective tie-ups, it has exerted pressure and resorted to blackmail to stop rival parties from forming alliances.
