Patna , Feb. 23 -- Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) alleged that BJP was repeatedly presenting Kisan Samman Yojna, running continuously since 2019, as a festival to polish its image.
RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said here on Sunday that it is regrettable that BJP was branding its image through this scheme which was humiliating for the farmers. The amount which is up to Rs 16.60 every day, given to the farmers cannot fetch even two cups of tea for them, he alleged saying that huge amounts of money were publicised in the name of Kisan Samman, but only Rs 500 is given to the selected farmer in a month, which is one day's wages of agricultural labourers.
