Solapur, Jan. 16 -- Following the vote counting in the Solapur Municipal Corporation elections, results for 64 out of the total 102 seats have been declared.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a massive win by winning 58 seats, comfortably crossing the majority mark of 51 and sealing an undisputed victory.
The Congress contested the election under the leadership of MP Praniti Shinde. However, the party suffered a crushing defeat, managing to win only one seat so far. Shiv Sena has also been limited to just one seat in the results declared till now.
