New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday said that the party is happy with the people of national capital electing six of its women candidates in the MCD by-polls, and with this the public has appreciated the BJP's efforts towards women' political empowerment.

Addressing a press conference here, Sachdeva said that the Delhi BJP fought the Municipal Corporation by-elections with full seriousness, and winning seven out of the twelve wards, while receiving more than 46 per cent (45.9) votes in these by- polls clearly shows that it continues to be the first choice of Delhi's residents, he added.
