Bengaluru, Jan. 6 -- The opposition BJP in Karnataka on Tuesday slammed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his tenure as he became the longest serving Chief Minister of the state.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi told reporters that there was no reason for people to celebrate Siddaramaiah's milestone, citing "corruption, bickering, financial crisis in the state government and lack of development work." He claimed, "Other than being the longest serving Chief Minister, there is no other achievement of Siddaramaiah."Joshi also alleged an influx of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, questioning why such persons prefer arriving in the state during Congress rule.
