Patna, Dec. 23 -- : Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) believes in promoting leaders on the basis of hard work, loyalty and struggle and not on family background.
Addressing a felicitation programme organised to welcome Bankipur MLA Nitin Nabin on his maiden visit to Patna after his appointment as BJP National Working President, Choudhary said here that in several political parties, leadership and important positions are limited to one family or a particular group of people. However, he said, the BJP has changed this tradition by according leadership opportunities not only to the first generation workers, but also to workers from the second and third generations.
