Kannur, Aug. 1 -- AICC Organizing General Secretary K C Venugopal today accused Kerala BJP leaders of staging a political drama over the recent arrest of two innocent nuns from Kerala by the Chattisgarh police.
Talking to news persons after visiting the family of Sister Vandana Francis in Udayagiri, Venugopal criticised the BJP's inaction, saying if Kerala BJP leaders had truly respected the Christian community, as they claim during symbolic gestures like Christmas cake distribution to their houses, they would have acted immediately to secure the nun's release.
