Hyderabad, June 23 -- The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observed Balidan Diwas on Monday, marking the death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, at the party's state headquarters in Nampally.

Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy paid floral tributes at the BJP state office and hailed Dr Mukherjee's contribution to national unity, especially his opposition to Article 370 and his sacrifice for the integration of Kashmir with India.
