Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 13 -- The dramatic turnaround in the Thiruvananthapuram local body election with 50 seats for the BJP, which had struggled for years to gain a foothold in the Corporation, and a massive set back for the ruling Left Front seems to set the tone for the Saffron party in the 2026 Assembly poll fight.
The BJP-NDA combination secured power in the most important local body in Kerala winning 50 seats in the 101-seat Thiruvananthapuram corporation.
The ruling LDF has got just 29 and the Congress-led UDF secured 19 seats.
