Bengaluru, Feb. 8 -- BJP MP Tejasvi Surya told reporters on Sunday that the controversy over the proposed hike in Bengaluru Metro fares has now turned into a serious issue of transparency and accountability, with the state government facing allegations of concealing key documents and misleading the public.
Surya said the Fare Fixation Committee report, which formed the basis for the earlier steep increase in metro fares, was kept out of the public domain for nearly six months and was released only after directions from the Karnataka High Court.
