Hyderabad, Aug. 13 -- Party workers to actively participate in relief operations to safeguard lives and property as the state braces for heavy to very heavy rains, urged Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao today. In a statement, Rao said, "The party is mobilising its cadres across the state to assist in emergency measures, following the India Meteorological Department's red, orange, and yellow alerts for several districts, warning of possible flooding, traffic disruptions, sewage overflow, and power outages." He directed party workers to help evacuate residents from low-lying areas, distribute food and drinking water, provide medical aid, and extend special assistance to the elderly and children.
