Kalaburagi, Sept. 24 -- US President Donald Trump's address to the United Nations has drawn sharp criticism in India, with BJP MLC Shashil G Namoshi and former Bengaluru Mayor Purshottam dismissing his remarks as coercive, self-serving, and fundamentally misaligned with the spirit of international cooperation.

Trump, in his UN intervention, had drawn attention to India's oil purchases from Russia and hinted at punitive measures. For Namoshi, this was vintage Trump- threats dressed as policy.
