Kolkata, Sept. 5 -- The West Bengal Legislative Assembly witnessed unprecedented scenes today as five BJP MLAs, including the party's chief Shankar Ghosh, were suspended for allegedly disrupting the proceedings of a special session.

Along with Ghosh, the suspended legislators are Agnimitra Paul, Mihir Goswami, Bankim Ghosh, and Ashoke Dinda.

In a dramatic turn, two of them Shankar Ghosh and Mihir Goswami had to be escorted out from the House by marshals after they refused to leave despite repeated directives from the Speaker.

Speaking to the media outside the assembly, Ashoke Dinda said, "If they want to suspend everyone let them do it but we won't stop. They will have to answer why our leader of the opposition was suspended. Pisi (Mamat...
