Bengaluru, July 15 -- In a sharp escalation of tensions within the Panchamasali Lingayat community, BJP MLA and senior leader CC Patil today condemned the locking up of the Kudala Sangama Panchamasali Gurupeetha, calling it an "unpardonable offence" and a direct insult to the community's spiritual institutions. Speaking to reporters after the Peetha premises were locked, allegedly on the orders of Congress MLA Vijayand Kashappanavar-Patil said, "No elected representative has the authority to lock out a Swamiji.
