Pune, Dec. 27 -- With the possibility of a reunion between the two Nationalist Congress Party factions having collapsed and the Shiv Sena alleging "step-motherly treatment" within the ruling alliance, political equations ahead of the municipal corporation elections appear to be shifting rapidly.
In this backdrop, exploratory moves are underway to assess whether the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), both constituents of the Mahayuti, could contest the civic polls together.
