Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 13 -- In the latest results of the Kerala local body elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) suffered a significant reversal in Pandalam Municipality, a key urban body in Pathanamthitta district, home to the world-famous Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala.
In the 34-ward municipality, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) won 14 seats, emerging as the single largest group, while the United Democratic Front (UDF) secured 11 seats.
The NDA was limited to just 9 seats, resulting in the alliance losing control of the municipal administration it had captured in the 2020 local body polls when it won 18 seats.
