Jaipur, Aug. 11 -- Police have arrested Rohit Saini, president of BJP Silora, Ajmer, for the murder of his wife, Sanju.
A police spokesman said today that the accused was returning home with his wife, Sanju, after celebrating Rakhi at his in-laws' house. On the way, he stopped at a secluded location, attacked his wife with a dagger and slit her throat.
However, with the motive to portray the incident as an act of miscreant looters, he inflicted injuries on himself and also scattered his wife's ornaments around the murder spot.
"The accused initially told the police that motorbike-borne looters had attacked them but later confessed to the crime during the investigation," said the spokesman.
